Xorics

your coding doubts, out loud

Talk it through till it clicks.

Stuck on a coding doubt? Say it the messy way. Talk it through out loud with Xorics, any time, or with someone on the same path.

voice and screen · no camera · no real names

two ways to talk it through

Xorics right now, or someone on your path.

any time, day or night

Talk it through with Xorics

It listens, asks one thing at a time, waits while you think, and explains when you ask. It remembers what you talked about. It’s an AI, and it says so.

Talk to Xorics

someone on your path

Talk to a person

Put your doubt up and someone joins you by voice, with screen sharing, straight between your two browsers. No camera, no real names.

Post a doubt

how it goes

Say it. We say it back. Talk it through.

1. you say it

“Okay so, the slow and fast pointer thing, for finding a loop in a linked list. I know the code, I’ve literally written it like ten times. But why do they have to meet? Why can’t the fast one just keep jumping over the slow one forever?”

an example

2. we say it back

PROBLEM
In a linked list with a loop, one pointer moves a step at a time and the other two. Why must they end up on the same node?
STUCK AT
Why the fast one can never jump over the slow one.
LOOKS LIKE
Floyd’s cycle detection

3. talk it through

With Xorics right now, or with whoever joins you. They see the problem first, so nobody starts from zero.

why it works

Rubber duck debugging, with a duck that asks back.

a ^ a = 0

the same mind twice cancels out

Say it out loud, step by step, and the gap in your logic often shows itself.

a ^ b = 1

two minds that differ: it clicks

Another mind asks what you’d never think to ask yourself. That’s the name: XOR.

and while you talk

A lot happens while you just talk.

  • It says your problem back, clearly, before anybody else reads it. Fix anything that’s off.
  • Matched on how you’re stuck. No tags, no levels to pick, no rating anybody sees.
  • A one-minute puzzle opens every room, the same on both screens. Then your doubt.
  • No doubt left hanging. Put it back up, or climb a worked answer a step at a time.
  • Every conversation kept, so Xorics remembers where you left off. Only you see them.
  • Never recorded. Voice and screen go straight between the two browsers. Leave any time.
  • Read what we keep

questions

Before you start

What is Xorics?

A place to talk a coding doubt through out loud. Say what you’re stuck on, the messy way, and it comes back as a clear problem. Then talk it through with Xorics, an AI that talks with you any time, or live with another person by voice, with screen sharing.

Who is it for?

Anyone learning DSA and programming, in any language, who would rather think out loud than stay stuck alone: a concept that won’t click, a problem you can’t find a way into, or a bug in your own project.

Do I need to be good at DSA?

No. Nobody is asked for a rating or a rank, and nobody sees one. Pairing looks at how you’re stuck, never at a score, and tries to give someone new a steady partner.

Is this just rubber duck debugging?

It starts that way: saying it out loud is the oldest trick there is. The difference is the duck. Here it asks back - Xorics, or a person who sees it differently.

Is the call recorded?

No. Voice, screen and chat with another person are encrypted from one browser to the other. We never hear any of it.

What if nobody is online?

Talk it through with Xorics right away. Your doubt can also stay up for a person until you close it; keep the tab open and we’ll let you know the moment someone comes in.

What if the room doesn’t solve it?

Put it back up for someone new, take a worked answer one step at a time, or see what to learn first. No doubt gets left hanging.

Why the name?

XOR. a ^ a = 0: the same mind twice cancels out. a ^ b = 1: two that differ light up. Every room is built on that.
